WHAT IS A MICROSCHOOL?"The term microschool is relatively new. It refers to a new movement in alternative education to reinvent the one-room-schoolhouse. Classes are typically smaller and multi-aged. Classes may be taught directly, or students may use technology or inquiry methods to explore ideas. Tuition is usually lower than neighboring private schools. Micro-schools borrow most of their ideas from the very best in education, offering students a smaller, personalized pathway for learning." Read more about how our school is different here.

IS OUR SCHOOL ACCREDITED?We are in the process of becoming accredited and will be officially accredited beginning Fall 2025 through our partnership with WonderEd—a trusted organization that supports innovative, learner-centered education programs across the country. Our school operates as a private school under the model of Independent Contract Education, and we’re known as a “community campus.” This means that while we provide a full educational experience, families retain flexibility and ownership over their child’s learning, making our approach a great fit for many homeschoolers and alternative learners. Our upcoming accreditation through WonderEd ensures we meet quality educational standards while continuing to offer the personalized instruction, community connection, and small-scale environment that make our program unique. If you have questions about what this means for your family or how it fits into your homeschool plan, we're always happy to connect!

WHY DO WE HAVE "GUIDES" INSTEAD OF "TEACHERS"?At our school, we use the term “guide” intentionally to reflect a different approach to learning. While our guides are qualified educators and mentors, their role goes beyond simply delivering instruction—they are facilitators of learning, helping students explore, question, create, and take ownership of their educational journey. In our learner-centered environment, students are active participants in their growth. Guides support and walk alongside learners, offering individualized instruction, meaningful feedback, and encouragement as students set goals, work through challenges, and pursue their passions. This approach helps cultivate independence, curiosity, and critical thinking—skills that prepare students not just for academics, but for life.

WHAT GRADES DO YOU OFFER?We currently serve students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, and we plan to grow a grade each year as our oldest students advance. Our learning center is designed to support a wide range of K–6 learners, with programming and classes tailored to meet the needs and interests of each age group. We offer a variety of engaging classes and courses throughout the week—from core academics to enrichment opportunities—and we’re always adding new options based on student interest and community feedback. Be sure to watch our calendar closely, as classes tend to fill quickly! Our goal is to keep our offerings fresh, exciting, and relevant—providing our homeschooling community with meaningful learning experiences in a small, supportive environment.

WHY MULTI-AGED CLASSES INSTEAD OF GRADE LEVELS?There are many advantages to learning in a mixed-age group. We believe that students can share their strengths and help each other improve on weaknesses in ways that wouldn’t be possible in a single-age classroom. Mixed-age groups also allow students with similar interests to collaborate, regardless of their "grade level." We especially love the opportunity to keep siblings together, fostering a sense of community and teamwork.

WHAT KIND OF LEARNERS ARE A GOOD FIT FOR THIS SCHOOL?Our school is a wonderful fit for curious, self-motivated learners who are excited to take ownership of their education. Students who enjoy exploring new ideas, collaborating with others, and setting daily and weekly goals—and working to master them—tend to thrive in our flexible, hands-on environment. That said, we believe all children are inherently curious, and we recognize that motivation and independence develop at different paces. While students who need frequent external prompting may find self-directed learning challenging at first, our supportive environment and intentional structure often help them build the habits and confidence needed to take more responsibility for their learning over time. One of the greatest advantages of a microschool is the balance between individualized instruction and a strong sense of community. Students are part of a shared learning journey—pursuing common goals while receiving the personalized support they need to succeed. If you're wondering whether our learning environment is a good fit for your child, we’d love to connect and explore it together.

DO YOU OFFER SERVICES FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS?We follow all Colorado state requirements for special education and are committed to complying with both 504 Plans and IEPs to the extent that our small school setting allows. Due to our limited staff and intentionally small size, we are not equipped to provide services for students with significant special needs. However, we do have experience working with a wide range of learners, including gifted students and those with mild learning challenges such as ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, OCD, and similar needs. We also believe that the unique structure of a microschool—small class sizes, personalized instruction, and a supportive community—can itself serve as an effective intervention for many learners who may not have thrived in more traditional settings. If you’re wondering whether our learning environment could be a good fit for your child, we’d be happy to connect and explore it together.

WHAT IS PASSION-DRIVEN EDUCATION?Passion-led education is an approach that centers on igniting and nurturing a student's intrinsic interests and passions to drive their learning. Instead of focusing solely on a fixed curriculum, passion-led education allows students to explore topics they are genuinely curious about, encouraging them to take ownership of their learning journey. This approach fosters deeper engagement, motivation, and creativity, as students are more likely to persist in learning when they are invested in something they care about. In passion-led education, teachers act as facilitators, guiding students to discover their strengths, develop critical thinking, and pursue knowledge in areas that excite them. It helps students connect their learning to the real world and can lead to a more personalized, meaningful educational experience. "The goal of passion-driven education is to preserve and perpetuate the senses of awe and excitement all young children inherently have, fueling a lifelong love of learning. A successful method of education must incorporate a child's interests. -Conner Boyack

WHAT ARE OUR VALUES?We believe education goes beyond academics- it's about building character and a strong sense of purpose. We foster a culture of gratitude, where students appreciate opportunities and each other. Our tight-knit community ensures that every child feels valued and supported. Safety- both physical and emotional- is a priority, creating an environment where students can thrive. We cultivate leadership by empowering students to take the initiative and make a difference. And above all, integrity is at the heart of everything we do, instilling honesty and responsibility in every learner. Together we're shaping not just great learners, but great humans.

WHAT IS STUDENT-DRIVEN LEARNING?Our students are active participants in their education. They set goals, manage their time, and take responsibility for their learning journey. With personalized learning paths, students move at their own pace, ensuring they truly understand concepts before advancing. This builds confidence, deepens comprehension, and cultivates a lifelong love of learning.

WHAT IS OUR UNIQUE APPROACH TO LEARNING?We believe that learning is most powerful when students take ownership of their education. Instead of a traditional classroom where a teacher dictates the pace, our campus is designed to foster self-motivation, independence, and mastery-based learning with the support of a guide rather than a conventional teacher.
